im blogging again after three weeks of absence! i doubt anyone actually reads this, so the recent lack of new posts probably hasnt been a problem …but if anyone does, i apologize for providing no updates on my wondrously interesting life.

theres not much to say about the weeks before chinese new year, except maybe that after interim half day i went to ione for the first time ever. i actually had fun; it was rather interesting – cool, didnt suck at all. some things i learned:
1) a “guy” is pretty much interchangeable with a “gamer,” and
2) those mentioned above get a little way too worked up over video games.

and what i spent my entire break doing: nomming.

the day after school ended, i left for tainan, where upon getting picked up from the airport by an uncle, an aunt, and some bubble tea, we embarked on a search for good food. unfortunately, this search soon proved fruitless – it was new years eve and all our usual food places had closed for the holiday. this was depressing, but we were greeted at my grandparents’ house not only by most of our relatives but by my grandmas cooking, and soon after that, hot pot as we do every year. farewell, food deprivation. good (kind of?) riddance. from then on, all our time was spent on food. even when the good vendors and restaurants were closed, we managed to eat away our time. were good like that. food in taiwan that i love in some kind of order:

1) 小卷米粉
2) 石頭香玉米
3) 排骨酥
4) 香酥雞
